Submission Information

Please see the author’s guide for information about how best to prepare a paper for submission to jgt.

Submitted papers should describe original work that has not appeared in any other peer-reviewed publication. Survey and tutorial papers should provide significant “value added” in terms of practical advice based on extensive experience. Papers may not be submitted elsewhere while under review by jgt.

All submissions should include a one- or two-paragraph abstract. Images and illustrations should be included as part of the manuscript. We do not accept videotapes or animations, but URLs for supplementary animations, demonstrations, etc. are welcome and will be considered along with the manuscript. Please list them in the text of the paper as discussed in the Web Materials section of the author’s guide.

We also ask that authors “self-review” their paper by including a filled-out copy of the referee’s review form with the submission.

Electronic submission

We encourage electronic submission of papers. To submit your paper electronically, visit: http://journaltool.akpeters.com. Follow the instructions there to register, log in, and submit the paper.

While use of the above online tool is the preferred method, you may contine to submit papers via email to jgt@akpeters.com. The body of the email should comprise a cover letter including the paper title and abstract, the names and affiliations of all authors, and contact information for at least one author. The manuscript and self-review should be included as attachments. We prefer manuscripts in PDF format, though we can also accept Word documents as well as PostScript.

Hardcopy Submission

In cases where electronic submission is infeasible, we also accept hardcopy submissions. Please include a cover letter giving the names and affiliations of all authors and contact information for at least one author, as well as at least 3 copies of the manuscript, and the self-review.
